Journalism is done by people, and people sometimes get things wrong. Keertiman is committed to factual accuracy — when we're wrong, we say so quickly, clearly, and openly.
Types of Corrections
- Correction: A published fact was wrong — an error in a name, number, date, quote, etc.
- Clarification: The fact wasn't wrong, but the presentation was misleading or unclear.
- Update: New information has been added to a developing story.
- Retraction: An entire story is withdrawn because it did not meet our verification standard.
How Fast We Correct
Corrections are published within 24 hours of confirmation. Factually serious errors — such as misidentifying a person — are prioritised and corrected immediately.
How a Correction Is Shown
- A clear "Correction:" note is added at the top of the article, stating what changed and when.
- The original error is not quietly deleted — a record of the correction remains for transparency.
- For significant or widely shared errors, we also post a correction notice on the same social channels where the original story was shared.
- The article's
dateModifiedtimestamp is updated with every correction.
How to Report an Error
If you spot a factual error, please write to us with the article link and the correct information: editorial@keertiman.com
We review every report. If the error is confirmed, a correction will be published following the process above.
